As Wound Matrix has continued to expand it’s foot print and build strategic partnerships, we’ve learned that there is a significant appetite for advanced wound care products on the international market. Whereas the traditional American market works on a billing and reimbursement basis where physician notes and product codes are submitted to Medicare and then providers pay for their products on 30- to 60-day invoice terms, the international market exists on a high-volume, cash-pay basis. Built on partnerships with Innov8 Medical Solutions and New Era PG Consultants, Wound Matrix has created an international solution that offers a significant level of available volume with remarkable discounts when compared to the traditional Medicare system. With absolutely no concern for volumes, our offering starts at 1,000 square centimeters per order, and there is no maximum, with the ability to exceed even 50,000 square centimeters per order. Our price offering is unmatched in the market, offering our product at a discount of 65% less than the Medicare reimbursement amount and 42% less than the price paid by a provider after the maximum allowable safe harbor discount. Upon receipt of product payment, we have the ability toship anywhere in the US within 48 hours, allowing customers to then ship to their desired international location.
Hands-Free Program
Around 15% of patients in a given nursing home, skilled nursing facility, or assisted living facility have wound that need an advanced level of treatment. Often, these facilities lack the necessary specialized personnel to treat advanced wounds, and end up having to hire specialists from outside the facility at their own expense in order to ensure proper qualified treatment for patients with wounds. In partnership with BriskMD, Wound Matrix has created the Hands-Free Wound Care Program. Facilities with wound patients needing treatment contract with us to not only provide products, but our teams will recruit, hire, train, schedule and pay the specialized wound care personnel, while also taking care of product orders, billing, and reimbursement. This program completely removes both the burden and expense of advanced wound treatment for the client facilities.
Direct-To-Patient Program
Every advanced wound care skin substitute that is offered by Wound Matrix is reimbursed by Medicare. Medicare patients in general are elderly, and patients with wound care needs often have diseases and conditions that limit their mobility. With the requirement to have their wounds treated on a weekly basis, patients often struggle to attend in-person appointments at their physicians’ offices or clinics. Wound Matrix, in partnership with BriskMD, has established a Direct-to-Patient program. Qualified patients are evaluated by credentialed wound care providers in an initial telehealth screening, then weekly treatment visits are established. Advanced wound care products are ordered directly from a Wound Matrix supplier and sent directly to the providing wound care specialist’s location, whereby they treat the patient directly in the patient’s home. Often, primary care physicians and home health organizations lack the expertise and personnel necessary to treat advanced wound needs. The Wound Matrix direct-to-patient program creates an opportunity for convenient, high-quality advanced wound care solutions where it previously was not available, with providers available to patients in all 50 states.
